Luxury Moves North

Miami is booming with condo construction once again, but visionary developers are staking their claim in the areas north of the Magic City as well.

MELIA COSTA HOLLYWOOD BEACH RESORT The CEO of Liberty Grande, LLC, and CEO/ President of Logictech Construction Group, LLC, Moses Bensusan is developing Melia Costa, a luxury condo-hotel and the first beach resort in South Florida managed by the Melia brand. Designed as a beachfront oasis, it’s part of the burgeoning Hollywood Beach Village located just steps from the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Originally based in Quebec, where he spent 25 years in the industry, Bensusan came to South Florida eight years ago and opened Liberty Grande, LLC, a familyowned and operated real estate and development company based in Hallandale Beach.

As a complement to his role with Liberty Grande, Bensusan is also co-founder and acting CEO of Logictech Construction Group, LLC, which opened in Hallandale Beach in 2009; the company’s project portfolio includes property extensions for Port Everglades, Florida International University, Broward General Medical Center; as well as River Plaza Garage and Commercial Park and it was named one of the Top 25 construction companies by South Florida Business Journal. Bensusan’s largest joint venture to date is Costa Hollywood Condo Resort, which is expected to play a leading role in the resurgence of Hollywood’s real estate market thanks to its affordably priced “smart” units, which up until now have more commonly associated with Miami and Miami Beach. “Our project offers the best of everything under the sun with an appealing low-maintenance lifestyle,” says Bensusan. “Costa Hollywood is also helping to propel the resurgence of Hollywood Beach as an international vacation destination.”

The environmentally friendly residential-resort development, located at 777 N. Ocean Dr., will house 307 fully furnished, turnkey “smart” units— studios and one- and two-bedroom residences ranging from 390 to 1,500 square feet—with terraces, ocean and Intracoastal views, advanced technology, high-end furnishings, energy-efficient appliances and an automatic valet parking system. A rooftop infinity pool and courtyard and entertainment lounge areas are added attractions.
