Meet Me in Miami

The Mariel Boatlift completely changed the landscape of South Florida.

Between April and October of 1980 close to 125,000 Cuban refugees escaped Fidel Castro’s regime in a mass exodus, arriving at these shores and changing, not only the demographic, but the landscape of South Florida forever…

Penned by Oliver Stone and directed by Brian De Palma, Scarface captured, in a poetically brutal way, the design and feel of South Florida. Thirty-nine years later, this is our homage to that time in South Florida history.
